Arctic Tundra Biome

As you can see, Arctic Tundra are located mostly in the Polar Zone. One location of an Arctic Tundra is one in the National Arctic Wildlife Refuge ,In Alaska

Actually , there are two types of Tundra. The Arctic Tundra , And Alpine Tundra.

 Where is it found?
Arctic tundra is found almost entirely in the Northern Hemisphere. The tundra falls between two other major biomes, the Taiga and Ice Caps. In essence the zone is controlled by the extremes in the weather. If its too cold, the ice caps don't melt enough to allow vegetation. In the Summer migratory animals come to the Tundra to mate or to make a quick stop along there way somewhere. A lot of Mosquitoes come to live or Mate in the puddles of melted snow or ice.
